QA Automation Specialist
Duration: Minimum of 3 – 6 months with possible extension

The Anvita Engineering group is growing its Quality Assurance team and we are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to support our current testing activities and to develop and add new capabilities to the automation framework, ensuring that we have the proper automated test for each of the features we are delivering.

You will also work closely with developers to understand features and create robust, comprehensive test plans to verify functionality. We are looking for well-rounded candidates with solid analytical skills, an enthusiasm for taking ownership of features, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work closely and communicate effectively with development and other teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, execute, and automate tests (using SmartBear TestComplete) for software products and enhancement releases
  • Key focus includes automation of SOAP response.
  • Work closely with the QA/development team to create comprehensive test procedures
  • Perform unit, integration, performance, and functional tests
  • Debug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defects and provide detailed input to development
Requirements:
  • 5+ years QA experience focusing on both Front End and Back End applications
  • 5+ years extensive experience developing code for automated test tools in a non-record/playback environment
  • 4+ years experience developing automated test scripts with HP's Quick Test Pro or equivalent Scripting language (e.g. Rational Functional Tester, Parasoft SOA)
  • Proficient in automating localized and internationalized products
  • Working knowledge of shell scripting
  • Strong experience with SQL queries to facilitate testing and troubleshoot
  • Excellent knowledge of QA process & methodologies (specifically web base applications)
  • Understanding of Internet technologies, including security considerations
  • Experience delivering products using both agile and waterfall methodologies
  • High energy, self-motivated, with a collaborative, team-playing attitude
  • High attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality products
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
Preferred:
  • 2+ experience developing automated test scripts using SmartBear TestComplete

Sr. Software Engineer C++
Responsible for developing, enhancing, and sustaining software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops module designs based on functional requirements.
  • Mentors and provides technical assistance to more junior developers.
  • Designs, implements and supports software algorithms of significant size and complexity, including definition and validation of prototypes.
  • Quickly understands and takes ownership of existing code.
  • Understands the relationship between good design and business value.
  • Development: Works within a team to develop, and continuously improve various Anvita Health's applications and services. Meets deadlines and handles multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Documentation: Produces sufficient documentation to facilitate communication with members of both technical and business teams.
  • Project Assessment: Quickly and accurately analyzes medium-scale project requests for feasibility, risk, and level of effort.
  • Maintenance: Participate in the resolution of challenging and demanding problems within the development environment.
  • Code Reviews: Able to lead code reviews and provide valuable feedback on performance, logic, and maintenance issues.
  • Innovation: Actively contributes to lessons-learned exercises for completed projects. Suggests new technologies and approaches, often demonstrating and championing their use.

Requirements:
  • BS degree in computer science or equal experience
  • At least 5 years of recent C++ Programming Experience is a MUST.
  • Recent experience developing in a UNIX VI environment is a MUST.
  • Has a demonstrable understanding of the software development lifecycle Identify and implement processes to strengthen, streamline, and auto Application development and design experience for XML based applications using object-oriented methodologies
  • Strong object oriented design and analysis skills
  • Strong C++, familiarity with template classes such as Rogue Wave tools/STL and SQL language
  • Prior experience with UNIX/Linux/Windows
  • Strong ability to learn new technologies in a short time
  • Must have good oral/written communication skills
  • Organized, and deadline driven with the ability to track multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Adapts well in a team oriented, professional, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Preferences:
  • Prior experience with medical database terminology is a plus

Physician Informaticist
Job requirements:
  • Board Certified in an ABMS-recognized medical specialty
  • At least 2 years of direct patient care experience
  • Advanced degree in engineering, informatics, mathematics, or physics
  • Strong object oriented design and analysis skills
  • Commercial healthcare IT experience desirable
  • A valid state medical license
  • Research experience/peer-reviewed publications a plus
